What an unbelievable night we had boogie’n to Soul Power at our wedding. I knew they were going to be amazing from their YouTube / Insta and they absolutely were! I love music and have worked for years as a Club DJ & Wedding Dj so It was really important to me that the band we chose didn’t just churn out the usual cheesy wedding tracks.

These guys had the perfect balance of playing really cool, non cheesy music but also not alienating anyone who just wanted to dance to some classic funk/soul & Mo town tunes. It was just one banger after another.

I also couldn’t get over the actual musical ability of the band. The singers were fantastic, amazing drummer and then the lads in the band would go from busting out amazing solos on the keyboard to next minute hopping on the sax blasting out a duet on the dancefloor. Absolutely Unreal. 😎 I said it to Podge on the night as a music fan it felt more like I’d been to a class gig rather than seeing a wedding band.

And everyone else there felt the same. Literally everyone at the wedding from parents to mates commented on how amazing the band were - and I’m not just saying that. And not that it makes a difference to the music but they were all really sound when I was chatting away to them after their set and probably wrecking their heads! 😅

I’m just glad we had a day 2 at the pub so I could actually catch up with people because on the wedding night everyone was just boogying away! Would I recommend them? - I just wish I could get married again so we could have that night on the dancefloor again. The shoes were also amazing but I won’t give away any spoilers 😉 But seriously lads - if you want your wedding guests to be complaining about sore feet the next day then get up offa that thang & book SoulPower STAT!
